What will I learn?
Our training consists of two stages: home study and intensive six-day on-site training.
We have set the following learning objectives for the home study period (60 to 100 hours) for our students, which are covered in the study materials:
- review of the anatomy and physiology of the digestive tract, from the mouth to the anus;
- review of the connections between the digestive system and other systems of the human body, with a specific emphasis on the nervous and endocrine systems;
- in-depth understanding of the large intestine, rectum and anus;
- contraindications and indications to a colon hydrotherapy treatment;
- modern lifestyle and digestive disorders such as, among others, intolerances, IBS, candidosis and constipation;
- development and formation of stools, signs of health and disease in their stools;
- history and the present day of colon hydrotherapy;
- review of various types of colon hydrotherapy equipment;
- in-depth understanding of the therapy and procedural aspects of a colon hydrotherapy session;
- colon hydrotherapy boundaries and limitations;
- connections between colon hydrotherapy and other therapeutic modalities;
- running a colon hydrotherapy business and therapists referral system;
- foundations of nutrition and healthful living.
We have set the following learning objectives for the six-day intensive training (50 hours) for our students:
- Acquiring the necessary practical colon hydrotherapist skills from the very first day of the training through performing around 20 treatments during the intensive practical training on "live models" and receiving at least two treatments during the study period (subject to contraindications);
- realizing that every client is different and no two treatments are alike, even with the same client.
- customising a standard colonic irrigation procedure to the client's needs and health concerns, thus delivering a client-led therapy;
- professionally conducting pre-treatment consultations and delivering competent aftercare advice on specific lifestyle and dietary adjustments;
- developing the practical skills client care;
- practically implementing boundaries and limitations;
- learning colonic irrigation treatment hygiene;
- learning colon hydrotherapy as a shared experience between a professional therapist and a client.
